My quarterly car insurance was paid today. I paid $165.
I know I could get cheaper coverage but I am loyal to my current insurance provider. They have never given me any hassles when I have needed their services. They have never risen my rates after an accident, ticket, etc. And their (local!!!!) customer service is excellent. The fact that they are local and I actually know the people I work with is a big plus for me, too. So, this is one area where I will not be taking drastic measures to save money.
