An experiment in stupidity? An update.

Earlier this week I wrote about my experiment in selling coupons on eBay.  I was curious if it was possible to make money this way.  I am happy to report that I did break even and it looks like when all is said and done I might even make a couple bucks (literally).  I'll post the details once all the auctions have ended.

Will I be quitting my day job to sell coupons on eBay?  No way.

Will I be doing this again in the future?  I am still undecided but am leaning towards no.

  1. I've heard of this but never have done it. I'm thinking of selling some of out stuff online but need to figure out how to do it.

Good luck with this. I hope it brings in some extra cash for you.

  2. Sorry, forgot to answer your question in the comment you left on my blog.

I bet you could find some older versions of Quicken or Microsoft's Money on ebay for a lot less than $65.

  3. I don't sell coupons on Ebay but I do buy some. I usually buy some Lowe's 10% coupons that I use at Home Depot. I don't see how people make any money selling coupons with the fees and low prices. I buy 20 coupons at a time. If the seller gets the coupons free, then there is money to be made.
